I'm showing off my hard work with the 24 hour comic, titled Time Flies. As I was sat there drawing at the beginning of my 24 hours, I thought, if only I had more time! So I did a comic about time travel.
Not really. Mostly I did it because for the first hour of drawing, I wasn't sure what to do. I drew a cool looking spaceman, then a cool looking knight, then thought, I wish I could use both of these guys. Then I threw in Total Girl and Sally the Cavegirl from my hilarious Totally Cavemen comic that never actually happened (I only ever drew one strip!)
I'm thinking of printing the comic, too, which will be pretty cool. I don't really care whether it makes money or not, but I'd just like a physical copy. I'm gonna look at print shops here to see if that'll be cheaper than other options like lulu or Ka-Blam. If anyone knows any other, cheaper websites, let me know.
Also, because I want to keep the costs down so that more people can afford to buy it (indie printing can be expensive because I'm printing maybe 20 or so instead of thousands like the industry does), I've decided to allow you guys to buy ads in the book. They can be real of fictional (For example, feel free to take out a full-page ad for your own website, print your own artwork, sell garlic toothpaste and xray specs or just a big page saying "Gizzy is cool") and will cost $5 each - of course, this is a fairly useless advertising method because I'll be printing so few, it'd be more of a donation to the printing costs to keep a poor, struggling student from using all of his rent money just to print some comics.
Oh, and anyone who would be interested in buying the comic, say so, so that I know how many copies to print. The whole thing should be available soon so that you don't have to wait and read one page at a time of the comic online over several months, you can just buy the printed one and read it all in one go, which is much less frustrating.
